Breathwork Sessions and Respiratory Massage

The act of breathing seems so simple, yet many of us have a dysfunctional breathing pattern. This pattern gets reinforced thousands of times a day as we breathe and can result in neck and shoulder pain and restriction as well as fatigue and low energy. Breathing is a potent tool in managing stress and difficult emotions. When you are not able to utilize the breath, you are missing out on this powerful skill. Emily will work with you one-on-one to assess your breathing and help you understand the mechanics and physiology of deep, belly breathing for better health.
At Ripple, we have two resources to help you breathe correctly:
Breathwork with Emily Olson, E-RYT, PTA
Yoga therapist and teacher, Emily Olson has been teaching workshops and classes on optimal breathing since 2010. At Ripple, she works one-on-one with clients teaching the alignment and mechanics of belly breathing and how the body can facilitate a natural breathing pattern. She guides clients in simple movement and mindfulness sequences to deepen the breath and coordinate breath with movement and provides handouts and videos for a home program.
Respiratory Massage with Jen Tanguay & Kaitlyn Swanburg, LMT
Jen and Kaitlyn have received additional training in respiratory massage and work with clients of all ages to offer a hands-on approach to better breathing. They utilize deep tissue, tapping, manual stretches and acupressure massage techniques to release restriction in the neck, upper back, ribs, belly and all the muscles of respiration. Respiratory massage is an experience in deep relaxation, breathing and alignment.
