Dr. Kellie Moore, ND, Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Kellie Moore, ND is a licensed naturopathic physician, passionate about empowering people to understand their body and tap into its innate ability to be well. Her approach to health is based on lifestyle, including factors like nutrition, movement, sleep, rest, connection to nature and community. Addressing the internal environment (microbiome) and external environmental exposures are also important components.
She works with patients of all genders, ages 10 and up, who are seeking a root-cause approach to feeling better. She prioritizes a collaborative approach with patients, in which we work together to create a personalized treatment plan, grounded in practical and sustainable lifestyle changes, supplemented as needed with vitamins, minerals, herbs, hormones and medications.
Some of the conditions Dr. Kellie commonly helps patients to address holistically include: gut issues like irritable bowel syndrome, GERD and abdominal pain; hormonal issues like hypothyroidism, heavy menstrual bleeding and perimenopause; osteoporosis, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, headaches, fatigue, insomnia, joint pain, anxiety, depression and ADHD.
The truth is that lifetstyle medicine is a game-changing component of any treatment plan, no matter which chronic health condition you are suffering from, or hoping to prevent - even those that absolutely require other treatments, including surgery and medications. Dr. Kellie has used lifestyle medicine in conjunction with other therapies to support patients overcoming mold-illness, Lyme disease, chronic viral infections (including long-COVID); recovering from cancer treatments and preparing for surgery. She loves helping patients rediscover the innate healing power in their own bodies - when they’re adequately supplied with what they need to function and obstacles to health have been removed.
When Dr. Kellie is not working one-on-one with patients, she enjoys hanging out with her family (preferably outside), walking and talking with friends (and her dogs), sitting in the sauna and strategizing about parenting teens with anyone who will listen, teaching and practicing yoga, line dancing, reading (mostly non-fiction about health!) and leading health retreats and workshops.
Dr. Kellie was born in Lima, Peru and grew up moving between university towns in the western US as her Dad worked his way through academia. When she was 15 moved to Brazil where she completed highschool. Her own family is eclectic, with a husband from the UK, two boys born in Texas and two girls who joined her family from Brazil. Currently they call the beautiful Methow Valley of northeastern Washington their home, along with four dogs, two cats and an ever-changing number of chickens.
Dr. Kellie can provide medical care in English, Portuguese and Spanish and sees residents of Washington state by telehealth.
