Emily Penn, Functional Nutritionist
Emily received her certification in Functional Nutrition from Portland Community College in 2017. She has worked with clients at both Ripple Wellness and through her private practice. She also a blog with recipes and articles, has done private meal prep and has sold her delicious and nutritious treats at farmers markets.
Emily believes food is medicine for the body, mind and spirit. She believes in bio-individuality - the idea that every person is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to health and nutrition. This is why she works with clients to find the best foods and lifestyle practices to support their individual health and empower them with the knowledge to make decisions about what they eat for the rest of their lives. Emily works with clients with type 2 diabetes, chronic inflammation and pain, gut issues, low energy, those who want to lose weight, and those who want to improve their relationship with food.
Outside of work Emily loves to hike, run, hit the gym, camp, cook, read and hang out with her dog, Hank.
