Hakomi with Brian Bump

Brian Bump

Certified Hakomi Practitioner

Brian is a Somatic Coach and Certified Hakomi Practitioner offering body-centered, mindfulness-based guidance to clients in Oregon and Washington. He completed his two-year intensive training through the Seattle Hakomi Education Network and continues to receive ongoing supervision and consultation from senior faculty and long-term mentors.

His work is grounded in more than two decades of mindfulness practice, which began in his early twenties with formal contemplative training in esoteric Buddhism. It has since deepened through ongoing multi-tradition spiritual inquiry and somatic-based personal growth and healing. The transformative impact of these practices on his own life inspired him to transition from his earlier careers as a multidisciplinary artist and
horticulturist to becoming a Certified Hakomi Practitioner.

An important part of his own journey has been learning to better understand, appreciate, and work in collaboration with his own neurodivergent (ADHD and ASD) brain and nervous system. This growth process has significantly impacted his inner well-being and outer self-efficacy, and as such, he finds great joy in helping others navigate this part of their own journeys. Thus, he can provide neurodivergent-informed Hakomi, as well as offer specialized coaching in neurodivergent nervous system regulation and life management strategies.

Alongside his work as a Somatic Coach, Brian works as a Personal Support Worker for Oregon, supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

Brian brings compassion and creativity, along with practical, grounded tools, to help clients cultivate safety and trust, guiding them to feel more fully, discover new possibilities, and move toward greater freedom and inner peace.
